# Google Calendar Sync

# Google Calendar Sync

You can connect your own Google Calendar to Arkata so the meetings you schedule in Arkata also land in your personal calendar. This is a **per-user** connection — each person connects their own account, and it only ever touches their own primary Google Calendar.

## Connecting

1. Open the **Calendar** page
2. Click **Connect Google Calendar**
3. Read the privacy summary, then click **Continue to Google**
4. Sign in to Google and grant access

Once connected, the button shows **Google connected** along with the account you linked.

## What syncs

* **New meetings created in Arkata** are added to your primary Google Calendar.
* **Later edits or deletions in Arkata** update only the Google events that Arkata created. Arkata never changes events you made yourself in Google.

## Your privacy

* Your Google Calendar events are visible only to you. Their details are not shared with your colleagues or with your firm's owners.
* Arkata uses them only to show your availability and to keep Arkata meetings in step. Personal Google event details are not permanently stored.

## Disconnecting

Open the **Calendar** page, click **Google connected**, then **Disconnect**. Arkata stops syncing straight away.

## If sync fails

If Google can't be reached when you save, Arkata still saves your change and tells you Google wasn't updated — your Arkata data is always safe. If your connection has expired, the button changes to **Reconnect Google**; click it to reconnect from the Calendar page.
