# Arkata Copilot

> Your AI assistant for questions about projects, tasks, and Arkata itself.

# Arkata Copilot

Copilot is Arkata's built-in AI assistant. It can answer questions about your firm's data and about how to use Arkata — right from within the app.

## What Copilot can do

* **Answer questions about your projects**: "What's the status of the Smith residence project?"
* **Look up tasks**: "What tasks are overdue this week?"
* **Check client information**: "How many active projects does Client X have?"
* **Summarise billing**: "What's the total outstanding across all invoices?"
* **Help you use Arkata**: "How do I upload a new document version?"

## What Copilot cannot do

Copilot is **read-only**. It can look at your data but cannot change anything:

* ✗ Cannot create, update, or delete records
* ✗ Cannot access document files or email content
* ✗ Cannot see other tenants' data
* ✗ Cannot access member personal contact details

## How to use it

1. Click the **Copilot** icon in the sidebar or navigate to the Copilot page
2. Type your question in plain English
3. Copilot responds with an answer based on your firm's actual data

## Privacy and security

* Copilot only sees data your firm has access to (same tenant boundaries as the rest of Arkata)
* It runs within the EU (eu-central-1) — your data doesn't leave Europe
* Conversations are retained for a configurable period, then automatically purged

## Tips for good results

* Be specific: "What tasks are assigned to me?" works better than "Tell me about tasks"
* Reference projects by name or reference number for precision
* Ask one question at a time for clearest answers
