# Roles: Founder & Architect

> What the two roles in Arkata mean and what each can do.

# Roles

Arkata has two roles: **Founder** and **Architect**. Both roles currently have full access to all features.

## Founder

The Founder role is for firm principals and owners. Founders can:

* Manage all clients, projects, tasks, and documents
* Create and send invoices
* View financial summaries and billing dashboards
* Manage team members
* Access all firm settings

## Architect

The Architect role is for employed or associate architects and periti. Architects can:

* Manage all clients, projects, tasks, and documents
* Create and send invoices
* Access firm settings

## What's the difference?

Today, both roles have the same permissions. The distinction exists so that Arkata can introduce more granular permissions in the future — for example, restricting financial visibility to Founders only.

  Your role is assigned when your account is created. If you think your role should be different, speak to your firm's administrator.
