Once a collaborator is in your directory you can attach them to any project and note what they are handling. The link works both ways: the project shows who is involved, and the collaborator shows every project they are on.

Add a collaborator to a project

  1. Open the project and stay on the General tab.
  2. Find the Collaborators panel, just under the assigned team member.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Search for the collaborator and pick them.
  5. Optionally type a Role, for example “Structural engineer” or “Notary for the deed”.
  6. Click Link.
The collaborator appears in the panel with the role underneath their name. A collaborator you have set to inactive is marked as such, so you can see who is no longer on your active list.

Change a collaborator’s role

Click the pencil icon next to them, edit the role, then click the tick to save. The cross leaves it as it was.

Remove a collaborator from a project

Click the bin icon next to them and confirm.
Removing only breaks the link between that project and that collaborator. The project is untouched, and the collaborator stays in your directory with all their details.

See it from the collaborator’s side

Open any collaborator and look at Linked Projects. You get the project reference, the project name and the role you recorded. Click a row to open the project.
If you arrived at a collaborator by clicking their name on a project, Back to Project takes you straight back.
