Logging In

Arkata uses email-based sign-in with mandatory two-factor authentication (MFA) to keep your firm’s data secure.

First-time login

1

Check your email

You’ll receive an email with a temporary password from your administrator. Click the link or go to your firm’s Arkata URL directly.
2

Enter your credentials

Use your email address and the temporary password to sign in for the first time.
3

Set a new password

You’ll be prompted to choose a permanent password. Pick something strong — at least 8 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
4

Set up MFA

Arkata requires a TOTP authenticator app. You’ll see a QR code — scan it with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, or similar) and enter the 6-digit code to confirm.
Save your authenticator app’s backup codes somewhere safe. If you lose access to your phone, you’ll need your administrator to reset your MFA.

Regular login

  1. Go to your firm’s Arkata URL
  2. Enter your email and password
  3. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app
  4. You’re in

Locked out?

If you can’t sign in:
  • Wrong password: Try again carefully. After too many failed attempts your account may be temporarily locked.
  • Lost authenticator: Contact your firm’s administrator — they can reset your MFA.
  • Account disabled: If your account has been deactivated, only an administrator can re-enable it.
